Composite vs. Aluminum

BrandFX is the world’s largest producer of composite service bodies, line bodies, toppers and inserts. There’s a reason why we trust and manufacture work trucks using composite materials over aluminum.

Did you know that a little over 50% of commercial planes are made out of composite material? Planes that millions of people fly on a day to day basis that we trust to keep up safe are made out of materials that BrandFX uses? If that isn’t enough to persuade you, we’ll give you a few more reasons why:

  1. Composites are stronger than aluminum and are flexible, while aluminum is malleable it cannot take back its original shape once it has been modified. Composite material will bend significantly and still maintain its shape.
  2. In hot/deserted areas throughout the U.S. aluminum is known to expand in the heat causing it to shrink or cause deformations. Composite is made out of fiberglass which does not expand or contract or conduct heat or the cold, therefore it will never react to the weather or drastic temperature changes.
  3. Composite material does not corrode or rust thus has a longer life cycle value as well as a much better appearance than when aluminum corrodes.
  4. Composite material weighs up to 2 times less than aluminum and up to 5x less than steel allowing better payload for tools and equipment.

Our composite bodies don’t change shape or corrode, they weigh less, they’re stronger and are visually more appealing, that’s why you should make the switch to composite bodies for your work truck needs.
